OverWatch!

Wanted to post up a few videos of some of the OverWatch games I’ve had lately on the PS4.  I’ve had some really fun and really frustrating games!

This was an escort mission that started out a little slow, but once we got going, it moved along pretty steady.  I catch the other team with a flank that almost wipes their team and gets me the POTG!  Enjoy!

Here is one of my Reinhardt matches.  I had fun on this one because my team really took advantage of Reinhardt’s shield and we got to move into the zones pretty quickly.  I got into it with the other Reinhardt and missed pinning him…I died :(.  I made up for it at the next point!!

Thanks for stopping by.  Have you been playing any OverWatch?  What do you think about it??

Back at it!!

Helloo!!!! Man it has been a crazy year on all levels of my life. But one thing is for sure, gaming has been pushed to the back.  The good news….I’m back!!!

I have not necessarily been away from gaming, but I have definitely been away from the “social” side of my gaming.  Very little streaming, very few YouTube creations and my idea of a podcast was pushed waayyyy back.  But not for much longer.

I have finally settled into a more regular play schedule with my “guys” and even started finding more time to stream and work on my streaming set up.  And now after lots of thought and struggle, it looks like I will finally record my first podcast.  No hints as to what it is yet, but format has pretty much been set.

There will be at least two of us, but I’m hoping to get some of the other guys in my gaming “crew” to be pretty regular on it.  As you can guess, it’s going to be a gaming podcast, but with a slight spin on most gaming podcasts.  Not sure how it will turn out, but looking forward to the experience of recording it, publishing it, and hearing it turn into its own thing.

While you wait for that here is a little of what I have been doing the last few weeks.  I have played and finished GTA V on the Xbox 360 a few years ago, but over the last year I have picked it up again for the PS4.  My buddies and I have gone through most of the missions and have completed all of the “Heists.”  I have been replaying the single player missions with the goal of beating the game again… but probably with all of the side quests this time.  I have been recording and publishing these quests as kind of a walk through for other players.  Here are two videos that i have completed.

This is one of the intro missions for Trevor, one of the main characters of the story.

Here is another for Trevor.  The last mission that leads him into town looking for his long lost partner.

Like I said earlier, I have already completed this game once, but I just seem to keep coming back to it. Great gameplay, fun and interesting story, and cool customizable cars!!

Thanks again for stopping by! Please be sure to like the videos and follow me on my channel.

Also stop by the stream sometime and hang out! If i’m not there be sure to follow and it will let you know the next time I am on!

Have you played through GTA V yet?  If so, leave a comment with your favorite GTA moment!

Diablo 3!!

Hey there!  If you are back again one thing has stayed constant this month…my play through of Diablo 3.

After beating the main game I decided to get the “Reaper of Souls” expansion.  This expansion includes a higher level cap (70), a new act (Act V), a new playable character (the Crusader) and alternate game modes after reaching level 60, (Rifts and Bounties).

I jumped into Act V with my Demon Hunter that was level 47 and all I can say is that I am hooked more than ever!

The story is Great! This time we are on the hunt for Death himself! The different areas that you are sent to during the story are beautifully drawn and the the new monsters that you encounter are bigger, badder, and more dangerous than ever.

One thing that I have liked about this expansion are the “events” that take place throughout the story.  These are basically side missions that offer a break from the story but a chance for more experience, gold, and loot…we love loot!

Below is a video of a few of the events that I found while traveling through Westmarch Commons.  This is the beginning area of Act V, that starts the transition into the main story.

Clip one is at The Killing Floor. I meet up with Uzkez – The Annihilator. I got a Legendary Crossbow off of him and Ding 48 with the turn in.

Clip two is at the House of Deep Sorrow. Here I see Lady Victoria and after saving her, she turns on me. She dropped the “Horrible Secret” Lore Book, which you need to read for the “People Finder” achievement.

Last clip is at Tustine’s Brewery. Fhosgrave the Usurper – the Vile Reaper, is the boss in this area. I didn’t get any decent drops from him, but still a fun and quick fight.

I really like the extra’s that Blizzard has added in this expansion.  Even though I have yet to try any of the Level 60 game modes, I definitely feel i have gotten my moneys worth with this new Act and all of the side quests that are just in the story mode.

Hopefully by the next time I write here I will have my Demon Hunter to Level 70, I will have defeated Death (again),  and I will have had a chance to run some of the Rifts and Bounties and acquired more Epic Loot.

What was the last game that you played that had a great expansion or updated content?

Good Week of Gaming!

So I’ve been trying to be more consistent with my gaming/streaming schedule and last week worked out pretty good.

On Monday I did a little of the WoW 6.0.2 update and some of the “Iron Tide” quests before the Warlords Of Draenor expansion releases.  I also worked on my twink Hunter just a bit, but never got into any BG’s so it was kind of slow going.

Wednesday I Got back in to Diablo 3 and kept leveling my demon hunter.  I finally finished the campaign by beating Diablo!!

Here are 2 videos from that night.  The first is one is of one of the last bosses before Diablo, Izual the Betrayer.

The second video is my take down of Diablo himself.  This was a pretty fun fight that started in “Heaven”, then went to the “Shadow Realm”, then back to “Heaven” to finish him off.  The fight wasn’t too bad especially since my companion (the boar)  seemed to be able to taunt and hold aggo pretty well.

I was very hesitant about playing Diablo 3 at first. It actually took me a few tries to really get into the feel of the game, but once I started my Demon Hunter character, I really started getting into it. I am now working on level progression to level cap to be able to play some of the other game modes and be involved in Rifts events for more loot!!

The last part of the week, my son and did some more Co-Op play on Diablo 3. He is leveling a witch Doctor, and I am working on a Wizard.  Our goal is to finish the campaign together. We hope to make this a regular thing.

Here is a video of our take down of Araneae, The Spider Queen.

As you can see it was a pretty good week for me on the gaming front and I’m hoping to continue  this trend!

Have you ever completed a game with someone in co-op mode?  If so which one?  Leave me a comment and let me know a good game or two that my son and I should try to go though together!

Also, be sure to follow me on twitter or on twitch so you will know when I am streaming again.  I would love to have people to chat with while I play!

Getting Back

Hello welcome back. If its your first time…Welcome!!

Just a quick post about where I have been spending my gaming time the last few weeks since my last post.
I missed some time not long after my last post at the hospital. My baby ended up there with dehydration. What we thought would be a one to two day stay turned into a five day stay. Lots of days back and fourth with my wife staying there with the baby and me running the older two around to school and soccer practices and homework and…you get the point, no time for any pc or console gaming. And I can’t remember what I was playing on the phone. But now that everyone is all better and back home, time is still pretty limited. Thanksgiving breaks and Christmas coming, everything is crazy!

Now that things are settling in better most of my gaming time has been in Warcraft. I’ve only gotten my mage to 86 and that was maybe 2 nights ago. I have also been working on my alts just trying out different parts of the game with them. I got my Shaman to level 60 so now I can fly. I have really been enjoying him lately especially in battlegrounds. I played a mage so long it’s weird for me to get a character up close to do damage. I have also leveled my druid to level 30. I mostly play this one as a healer and again its such a different style of play it has taken me some time to get used to it. I’ve had a few really fun BG’s lately with my healer so it keeps me going back.

The only other game that I have been playing is a little of COD:Blops 2. I haven’t gone back to the campaign at all. I have been playing multi-player, but mostly the league play. I like the many different game types that it offers and the chance to compete with people of my skill level. As much as I love FPS games, I just am not that good at them. LOL With the league I feel like I have a chance to win something.

I’m still looking at throwing a podcast together at some point. There are ducks and rows involved and hopefully I can get them together. Stay tuned 🙂

Just want to make a quick shout out to everyone at the Frogpants-LoseIt group and say keep it up!! A bunch of great people supporting each other in their weight loss/maintenance journey!

I gotta make some time!!

Hey there again, I think about this page a lot, and I think about the kind of content I want on it. The thing about it is this…it doesn’t matter what kind of blog I have if I never post to it. So I’m going to try and be better. I will try and post something every chance I get and see what kind of life this thing takes on. I’ll keep twitter for the random 144 character posts, but I HAVE to put something here, I WANT to put something here. I got enough going on that I NEED to be putting it down somewhere.

I’ll give a quick update so this isn’t just a rant on posting something meaningful, and then its nothing..meaningful.

Here is what i have been playing this past few weeks.
Dishonored – I still haven’t escaped the prison. Not for lack of trying, but lack of time. By the time I got back to playing this, Assassins Creed had release. I will go back to this one soon, I really like the “steampunk” feel and look to this one.

Assassins Creed 3 – Played the first two missions and I have to say that I really like the look of this game. The time period of the game and the feel of the town is great. I have a few issues with some of the controls, but the more I play it I think it will work itself out.

Halo 4 – I have mostly played the multiplayer on this one. I haven’t leveled to much just yet mostly cause I’m just ok at first person shooters, but I love playing them. The maps look amazing. Every map has a great feel to it and from what little time I’ve spent on them they feel pretty balanced.
As far as the single player campaign, I still haven’t gotten off of the ship, but I can’t stay away from the multi. I will say this though, the opening cut scene was one of the best I have ever seen, and cannot wait to see how the rest of this new trilogy plays out.

Black Ops 2 – My most recent purchase and the reason the other three games have been put on hold. Again with this one it has been almost strictly multiplayer. I seem to be doing better at moving up on this one, but I still don’t finish as strong as I would like on most games. Again, I need to learn the maps, and how to shoot. Hahaha
On this one my single player time has been the first mission.

Lots of great games out at the moment, and many more are on the way. I will have a better review of all of these games at some point soon.

Looks like I need to find some more time for my games, and my blog.

The start of something new…at least new for me.

Hey there, as you can see from the name of this post, this is the start of something new for me. I have played with the idea of blogging some and never was quite sure what I was about, or what my point would be.

I mean I know what I like, and I know who I am, but why would i need to put something on the web for others to see or hear? Why would anyone care about coming to my site and seeing updates that I put out. I then i kind of realized that was the wrong idea of me putting stuff out there. I need to do it for me, and hope that I make a few friends in the process. This is my chance to delve into a hobby or format that i have enjoyed for quite some time. I read many other peoples blogs, and I listen to countless numbers of pod-casts and the idea of doing my own really intrigues me. Even if it is just to be able to buy some new things for my computer to make fun voices with. LOL

So here is what I have planned. I would like to do a small gaming podcast. I know there are lots out there, but it’s what I like to do. I’ll talk about what I’m playing, what I do or don’t like about the game and if i recommend it. The normal stuff. Hopefully with some encouragement I will stick to a game and play it through so i can give better insight into the game (don’t worry, no spoilers). I will keep it short and sweet and hopefully stay pretty regular with it. I would like to be able to do one at least every two weeks or so. Longer than that and games become old news pretty quick. I will also include games that are coming out that I am excited to play. Another thing I would like to do is to be able to game with you guys and gals from the gaming community and get your take on games and perception of whats going on in the gaming world, or just run around and shoot stuff!! Hopefully I will be able to record game play and integrate that at some point.

Along with gaming, I am a Dad, husband, business owner, and a bartender. All of these things are things that I will talk about at one point or another and believe me I have stories both good and bad about each one of those aspects of my life. But don’t worry, it won’t be a place for me to moan and groan about things. I want people to want to listen.

I want to be more involved in the gaming community and help spread the word when people do charity events.

Would love for some feedback of things you might want to hear and always looking for more people to game with.

I am also looking for some help with artwork and bumpers for different parts of the podcast to help break it up and make it sound nicer. If that is something you are interested in, please let me know.

Thanks in Advance
Marc
