Decided to take a break from Persona 5 this week. I’m trying to mix it up both for my sanity and to keep it interesting for the people that hang out while I stream. I am really enjoying Persona, but it is definitely a grind in some parts, and it has a very immersive story, so there are times where alot of the game play is cut scenes and leveling.
I picked up Hob as part of Nitro on Discord. I have looked at it for a while and had it saved on my Steam wish list for a little while.
Hob is developed by the team the team that made Torchlight 2. The art style is great and the puzzles are just enough to keep you guessing. There are lots of areas that you need to find by smashing or punching your way though walls or trees and shrubs, but they are placed in such a way that they aren’t always obvious…until you see it. I caught myself a few times running in circles looking for ways to get into new areas only to realize there was a weak part of a wall that just needed to be knocked down.
I’m about 1/3 of the way though the game and really enjoying it. I would recommend if you are into semi open world puzzle games. When I finish I will give a final thought to the game so be sure to come back and see how it ends.
What other games would you recommend me trying out?
